Alain Blanchard (Vibert, 1839) is an old gallica hybrid with semi-double, red roses. The petals have pink and lilac irregular dots and the anthers are golden yellow. The shrub is undemanding and quite thorny. It doesn't grow very big - approximately 1,2 metres. It blooms in June-July.

Alain Blanchard (Vibert, 1839) är en gammaldags gallicahybrid med halvdubbla, röda blommor. Kronbladen har rosa och lila oregelbundna fläckar och ståndarknappen är guldgul. Busken är anspråkslös och rejält taggig. Den blir inte så stor - ca 1.2 meter - och den är, liksom andra gallicor, engångsblommande under högsommaren. Zon 5.

Beautiful rose and great photo.
Du overrasker stadig med nye sorter, denne er ukjend for meg, men vi har ei som likner som blir kalla "Apotekerrosen" her hos oss. den er engangsblomstrende. Den er lik i størrelse, i form og farge.
